Irkutsk – the capital of Eastern Siberia has always been a merchant city. A great number of wooden architecture monuments and magnificent Orthodox churches have been kept. On the tour you take a walk along the Lower Embankment of the Angara-river, visit the place where Irkutsk was founded long ago, see the most beautiful Irkutsk cathedrals and churches, have a time in the atmospheric 130th Quarter –“Irkutsk Sloboda” (a quarter of artisans).

Excursion program

15:00 – meeting a guide at the hotel "Irkutsk" (44, Gagarin Boulevard), boarding the car/bus.

15:00-18:00 – the tour of Irkutsk : Lower Embankment of the Angara-river (the place of Three Churches: Polish Church, Epiphany Cathedral, Church of the Savior; Moscow Gates, the place where the Irkutsk Kremlin used to be) – Znamensky convent and its necropolis – the Gagarin Boulevard (monument to Alexander III) – 130-th Quarter. At each segment of the route there are stops and guided walks. After the tour you can go on in the 130th Quarter- there are many restaurants, cafes and shops there, or return to the hotel "Irkutsk".
