The Circum-Baikal railway (KBZhD) is the former segment of the TRANS-Siberian railway and a monument to engineering art. It can be visited differently– by excursion train or by boat. The tour by boat is shorter and less tiring, and three main stops (Cape Tolstoy, Shumikha and Cape Polovinny) suggest enough time for exploring the KBZhD and the area. "Barguzin" hovercraft can accommodate up to 100 passengers, the tour is accompanied by 1-2 guides ready to answer tourists’ questions.
